In
an effort to conserve water this spring and summer, The Scotts
Miracle-Gro Company and Keep America Beautiful have teamed
with baseball's top groundskeeper, David Mellor, on an educational
campaign to help homeowners learn the simple steps they can
take to help maximize the water-saving benefits of lawns via
the Scotts® Water Smart Pledge.
By taking the Scotts Water Smart Pledge, homeowners will learn
how to grow and maintain a healthy lawn while saving thousands
of gallons of water every year.
With the Scotts Water Smart Pledge, we're encouraging you
to get your supporters and volunteers involved. Beyond saving
water, homeowners who take the Scotts Water Smart Pledge will
be entered for the chance to win several great prizes, including
the potential to win grant money for your KAB affiliate to
build or improve a community green space:
· · Every week for 10 weeks, Scotts will award
$1,000 to a KAB affiliate
· · At the end of the 10 week period, one KAB
affiliate will win a $10,000 grand prize to put towards building
or improving a green space for their community
The weekly winners and grand prize winner are determined based
on the number of people who take the "pledge" in
your community. So, inform your members and volunteers of
this important program you'll work together to save water
and benefit your community!
